Dr. Marco Bardus is an Assistant Professor in Public Health at the Institute of Applied Health Research, at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom (as of June 2022).

Previously, he worked as Lecturer in Health, at the School of Health, Sport, and Life Sciences, Leeds Trinity University, Horsforth (November 2021-May 2022) and as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Health Promotion and Community Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, American University of Beirut (January 2016-2022).

His research is in the field of health communication and is aimed at exploring the use of digital technologies (smartphone and mobile apps, social media, and wearable devices) as support for health promotion and behavior change.

Dr. Bardus is also interested in risk communication, as well as research dissemination and science communication through digital PR and media relations.
